We use a HVLP spray system to apply the coatings we use. Therefore, there are no brush strokes or roller marks. We can not duplicate the original factory finish but we come close.TOP
How durable is the coating? What is the warranty?
The coatings we provide are incredibly strong. They are designed specifically for refinishing. You can not buy these coatings over the counter although there are imitations found at paint and hardware stores. Renew It All provides a 5-year limited warranty. This warranty covers failure due to product or application. We do not cover failures due to chips, nicks, scratches (including those from animals) or staining. All of these can be repaired at a small cost.TOP
With proper care and maintenance a newly refurnished surface should last 10-12 years.TOP
Can I use a rubber mat or bath pillow?
Unfortunately no. The suction caused from the items may cause the refinished surface to fail prematurely. We do offer an anti-slip coating for the bottom of tubs and showers to prevent a slippery surface.TOP
How long does it take to complete the job?
Bathtubs both porcelain and fiberglass take 3-4 hours to complete. A countertop depends on the size but completed in one day. All items are able to be used in 24 hours.TOP
What about the caulk around the tub?
We remove the caulk before refinishing and then replace it. Caulk is considered maintenance and will need to be replaced at some point. Care must be taken when replacing the caulk after refinishing.TOP
All that we ask is that the fixture be clean and free of soap build up. Items on a countertop can be placed on a close by table. We take care to cover the floor, cabinets and surrounding items.TOP
The odor associated with refinishing is very strong but with proper ventilation the smell dissipates quickly. The smell is like finger nail polish. You do not have to leave the house during the process. TOP
